Presearch (www.presearch.io), the open, decentralized search engine that rewards community members for their usage, contribution to, and promotion of the platform, today released the Presearch Browser Extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Brave browsers. The Presearch Browser Extension lets anyone search privately, without sharing or compromising their personal data. The new Presearch Browser Extension connects users to the Presearch engine along with more than 80 resources, including Google, Wikipedia, Amazon, and Facebook. Presearch rewards users in the company’s cryptocurrency token, PRE, for searching through its website or browser extension, and for referring new users.
Presearch has more than 1 million registered users and 250,000 monthly active users. The Presearch Browser Extension was developed in response to significant community demand. Now anyone can use the Presearch browser extension to access not only Presearch’s engine but several other websites, making search easier than ever before.
“The Presearch community has grown to more than a million members in under a year, showing that searchers want change; more choice, more privacy and more rewards,” said Colin Pape, founder of Presearch. “The new browser extension makes it even easier to switch to Presearch and start earning cryptocurrency when you search. We developed the extension because the community kept requesting it, and we’re grateful to all who are helping improve Presearch as it continues to grow and evolve.”
Presearch is advised by Anthony Di Iorio, Co-Founder of Ethereum and Founder of Decentral; Rich Skrenta, Founder and CEO of Blekko (acquired by IBM Watson); and Addison Cameron-Huff, a leading technology lawyer in the blockchain industry.
The Presearch Browser Extension is available on Chrome and Brave browsers here, and on Firefox here. To access Presearch on the web, please visit www.presearch.org. PRE tokens earned through Presearch can be used to purchase advertisements on the platform.
