CoinAgenda Caribbean Announces Blockchain Startup Competition Winners

CoinAgenda (www.coinagenda.com), the premier conference series for connecting blockchain and cryptocurrency investors with startups since 2014, today announced the winners of its CoinAgenda Caribbean Blockchain Startup Competition. Coming in first place was Tide Foundation, creator of the Tide Protocol, which enables a data marketplace for  businesses, consumers and third parties to share and monetize personal data using blockchain technology. In second place was TapJets, an on-demand private jet app. In third place was 0Chain, a fast, secure, and scalable blockchain that enterprises can use to build applications.

“When CoinAgenda gave us the opportunity to present Tide to blockchain investors, we jumped at the chance,” said Issac Elnekave, Co-Founder of Tide Foundation. “We’re developing a protocol that makes privacy profitable for businesses, marketers, and consumers, all by ensuring consumers reclaim control of their data. We are thrilled that this mission resonates with the CoinAgenda community.”

“To compete among such high quality companies, as is a staple at Michael Terpin’s CoinAgenda events, was an honor. To win was a significant accomplishment for TapJets,” said Eugene Kesselman, Founder of TapJets. “I’m incredibly proud of the TapJets team and grateful to our private jet clients for their support.”

“I had a blast presenting at CoinAgenda and really appreciate those who voted for 0Chain,” said Derick Fiebiger, Director of Operations at 0Chain. “We are thrilled to finally bring a fast decentralized cloud to the blockchain space. Please check us out this month as we launch AlphaNet, and download our 0Box app.”

CoinAgenda Startup Competition winners are awarded an exhibitor booth at an upcoming CoinAgenda conference, and conference passes to CoinAgenda and other blockchain industry events. Past CoinAgenda Competition winners include Bancor, Cashbet, Omega One, and SALT Lending, which have gone on to raise millions in funding.

Held at the InterContinental San Juan March 1-3, CoinAgenda Caribbean featured three days of panel discussions, keynotes, and fireside chats from industry leaders including Ryan Lackey, Head of Security at Tezos; Scott Walker, CEO at DNA and Chairman at Casper Labs; Harry Dent, Founder of Dent Research; Bo Collins, CEO of San Juan Mercantile Bank and Trust International; and Pedro Piquer Henn Esq. of the Puerto Rico Department of Economic Development and Commerce. Conference sessions explored topics including security tokens, IEOs, NFTs, exchange innovations, digital currency funds, and private equity in blockchain.
