Alvara Protocol Launches on Base with Major V2 Platform Upgrade, Bringing Onchain Fund Management to Coinbase's Layer 2

London, 2 April 2026: Alvara Protocol, the infrastructure layer powering the ERC-7621 Basket Token Standard (BSKTs), today announced the launch of its platform on Base, Coinbase's Layer 2 network, alongside a comprehensive V2 platform upgrade introducing new features for basket creation, portfolio management, and community governance.

The deployment marks a significant milestone for onchain fund management, bringing lower transaction costs and faster execution to the ERC-7621 standard, and enabling anyone to create, manage, and invest in tokenized multi-asset portfolios.

Why Base: Strategic Alignment

Base's high-performance infrastructure provides a strong environment for Alvara's basket token ecosystem. The integration enables users to create and trade BSKTs with significantly reduced gas fees while maintaining the security guarantees of Ethereum.
